Letter From the Founder
When I was in elementary school, my sister and I spent our summers on our grandparents’ farm. It was a gorgeous plot of land teeming with all sorts of animals – horses, cows, rabbits, cats, and two amazing farm dogs, Petey and Wilson. We learned first-hand the importance of treating dogs with dignity and love.
As teenagers, my sister and I volunteered in animal shelters. Unfortunately, during that time, we saw many dogs who had been neglected or abused by their owners. Some of these dogs faced untreated health problems, an overwhelming fear of humans, and other tragic situations.
While in some cases, the lack of care was caused by malice, other times it occurred simply due to misinformation. Owners might have had good intentions, but their lack of knowledge about training, nutrition, and other care needs ended up harming their pets.
I decided to dedicate my life to improving conditions for dogs by helping to find them loving homes and teaching people how to care for their pets properly. PawShore.com provides honest, accurate, and easily accessible resources for dog owners and their furry companions.
Whether you’re a new dog owner looking to learn the basics or an experienced caregiver searching for a solution to a specific issue, we’re here to help!
